 | Saturday 18 October, 2008 11.30am | | The Brodsky Quartet Anna and the Moods | The Brodsky Quartet Programme: The Brodsky Quartet and John Telfer (aka Alan the Right-On Vicar from “The Archers”) present a potted history of the string quartet from Haydn (who makes a guest appearance) to Hendrix (who doesn’t). The climax of the concert is a “Peter and the Wolf” for the 21st century – “Anna and the Moods” for narrator and string quartet. Written by Icelandic storyteller Sjon with music by Wallace and Gromit composer Julian Nott it’s a wild and wacky coming-of-age story for angst-ridden teenagers and their disillusioned parents. A fun-filled, vaguely educational hour for all the family.
