Scarlet and Gold - The Bands of the Household Division

There is nothing more stirring than the spectacle of the Bands of the Household Division. Showcasing the outstanding talents of the very best military musicians, this unique concert promises to be a wonderful evening of musical excellence, pomp and grandeur.

Taking the title from Lloyd Thomas’s wonderful march, it evokes the splendour and sparkle of the Guards’ uniforms and instruments which, combined with the beautiful setting of Cadogan Hall, promises an evening of musical pomp and grandeur.

The concert presents the outstanding talents of the very best military musicians performing a world premiere musical commission entitled Scarlet & Gold alongside Edward Gregson’s heroic Battle Music & Hymn of Thanksgiving to the more modern John Williams film theme from The Terminal. Direct from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the voice of Moray Innes in a Big Band tribute to Frank Sinatra – marking the 100th anniversary of his birth – will ensure an inspiring evening of traditional and modern military music celebrating the very best of our Nation’s proud heritage and tradition.
