Michel Tabachnik

Established in 1935, Brussels Philharmonic has worked with many leading conductors and soloists, and, in the course of its existence, has performed premieres by eminent composers including Messiaen and Stravinsky. It has taken on roles in the world of film too, including the musical soundtrack to the otherwise silent, multi award-winning film The Artist.

Its Musical Director, Michel Tabachnik, has developed successful programmes for the orchestra combining traditional repertoire and music of our time: ‘We are not a museum, but a platform for living music. We try all horizons to find new ways of making music, new ways of performing music.’

Part of Zurich International Orchestra Series 2013-14.
