East London Brass and the Addison Singers’ Oratorio Choir celebrate two giants of English music: Joseph Horovitz in his 90th year and Derek Bourgeois in his 75th.

Tonight’s concert features the world premiere of the brass band version of Bourgeois’ Tuba Concerto No. 2, specially commissioned for tonight’s performers, and Horovitz’s Samson Oratorio, a rare example of a work for chorus and brass band that tells the well-known Bible story, in vivid and dramatic style.
