Leszek Możdżer-Lars Danielsson-Zohar Fresco Trio

EFG London Jazz Festival

+ Asaf Sirkis and Sylwia Bialas

Leszek Możdżer, who is something of a hero in his native Poland, returns to London with the group from the recent ACT CD, Polska. Accompanied by a ‘dream team’ of virtuoso Swedish bassist Lars Danielsson and Israeli percussionist Zohar Fresco, this is a piano trio of rare distinction that embodies the contemporary spirit of European jazz, combining classical sensibility with a command of sonic texture and an effervescent spontaneity – ‘astoundingly accomplished’ (Daily Telegraph).

The opening set features another Israeli/Polish collaboration, with the subtly dynamic drummer Asaf Sirkis joining forces with vocalist Sylwia Bialas in a brand new quartet.
