Audley Travel Lecture by Levison Wood

Walking the Himalayas and other adventures

Venue: Cadogan Hall

Levison Wood, the British explorer, writer and photographer recently returned from walking the length of the Himalayas, a six-month journey of over 1,700 miles from Afghanistan to Bhutan. This amazing journey was televised on Channel 4 as a five-part documentary series, aired throughout January 2016.

From 2013-14 he also walked the length of the River Nile – an expedition of 4,000 miles that took nine months and was also documented to critical acclaim. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Audley Travel, Levison gave a lecture in aid of Tusk in March 2015, recounting tales of his epic trek along the Nile. His book Walking the Nile was a Sunday Times bestseller. His work has taken him around the world leading expeditions on five continents and he is an elected Fellow of both the Royal Geographical Society and the Explorers Club.
