The London Chamber Orchestra performs an exciting programme of new and old in this, their concluding concert of the season.
Continuing the centenary celebrations of Benjamin Britten, the orchestra pays tribute to the composer with a performance of his much loved The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra – which has been the inspiration for this season’s LCO education project, Music Junction. The final movement of a new LCO commission, by Cheryl Frances-Hoad, sees over 100 young people join the orchestra to showcase their work.
The evening also features Brahms’ Symphony No. 2, its meandering melodies beaming with joy as it moves towards an exhilarating finale.
This concert is supported by MariaMarina Foundation.
