Roderick Williams is one of the finest singers of his generation and has recorded Vaughan Williams’ songs extensively. Tonight he appears alongside Iain Burnside, an accompanist of high renown in the field of English song, and Clare Presland, a rising star of the singing world. They perform a programme that includes Songs of Travel, perhaps Vaughan Williams’ most well-known song cycle, his Four last songs and a delightful selection of lesser-known gems, including two rare, unpublished works that reside in the British Library.
