Acclaimed worldwide for his imagination and sensitivity, composer-pianist Motoki Hirai makes a welcome return to Cadogan Hall. Motoki has appeared in over 60 countries across the globe, performing regularly in prestigious venues including London’s Wigmore Hall, Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, Vienna’s Konzerthaus and New York’s Carnegie Hall. He has broadcast internationally on radio and television (Classic FM, BBC, ITV and NHK).

Alongside standard repertoire, Motoki will premiere a new work which he composed for the cultural and educational project The Fascinating World of Folklore and Stories – Brought to Life through Reading and Music, which is planned to be introduced at the 2019 Rugby World Cup and 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics.

He is partnering up with The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity again, inviting children fighting against cancer and their families to the concert to give them hope through music.
