- Ricardo Panela
- Kaoru Wada
An Opera Awards Foundation Bursary winner, Ricardo Panela will talk about the life and times of an emerging young singer as he builds a career in opera. We will journey with him as he climbs the ladder to success with perseverance, focus and an absolute passion for his art: from the first singing lessons and school shows, to surviving Music College and entering the profession.
Basing the lecture on the evolution of his audition pieces which he will perform throughout the lecture, Ricardo will guide the audience through the process of preparing for the dreaded singers’ job interview: from choosing the repertoire, to dealing with feedback. There will be back stage stories and insights as to how the right mentors can help to act upon that feedback.
