Join the Orpheus Sinfonia and conductor Heinrich Schiff on a magical journey to Bohemia…

Orpheus Sinfonia is delighted to welcome the world famous cellist and conductor Heinrich Schiff to conduct this concert, celebrating the music of Bohemia. Two symphonic masterpieces and favourites of the repertoire – the most beloved Cello Concerto ever written followed by the ‘Titan’ – Mahler’s iconic First Symphony, a piece with its roots deep in folk music and a flavour so distinctive to his native Bohemia. Heinrich Schiff was Thomas Carroll’s cello teacher, who in turn has taught many cellists at the Royal College of Music who now play with Orpheus Sinfonia. It is a great honour to welcome him to our series.
