This evening marks the end of Orpheus Sinfonia’s Beethoven Cycle. They finish, as one should, with the composer’s iconic masterpiece, the Choral Symphony, his Ninth. This symphony, one of the greatest compositions ever written, has had a long-lasting effect on the music world and has become a world-wide musical symbol for peace. The orchestra is very excited and privileged to be performing it at the end of a wonderful journey.

Orpheus Sinfonia is also thrilled to be giving another premiere by our wonderful composer-in-residence, Stephen Goss. His music has found a strong place in audiences’ hearts and this triple concerto is a marvellous fusion of styles with a completely unique sound world.

An orchestra, several choirs, two conductors, seven soloists, a masterpiece, a new triple concerto – it is an evening not to be missed.
