Oxford Philomusica returns to Cadogan Hall together with their Artist in Residence, a musician who requires little introduction. Maxim Vengerov is universally hailed as one of the world’s finest musicians, and often referred to as the greatest living string player of the age.

Showcasing two sides of his musical personality, Vengerov is first joined by Oxford Philomusica Music Director and pianist Marios Papadopoulos to explore two of Brahms’s most intimate works, before stepping onto the podium to conduct the free-flowing, rugged musical brilliance of Mendelssohn’s most inspired symphony, the Scottish.
