The remarkable duo Martinova – Garac comes to Cadogan Hall for the UK launch of its highly-anticipated album Paris-Buenos Aires, une histoire d’amour. Raised and trained in the strongest mainstream classical tradition, these two virtuoso performers have also established themselves as two of the most emblematic tango musicians in the world. In this programme they elegantly combine French impressionist and Argentinean tango music.

Legendary British actor John Standing will join the duo, giving voice to poets from both France and Argentina. This will be a mysterious and exciting journey through the aesthetic complicity between two cities – Paris and Buenos Aires – where music and poetry blend to reveal the pulse of life in all its aspects.

Works by Debussy, Piazzolla, Troilo, Salgán, Bardi, Cobián and poems by Verlaine, Baudelaire, Borges, Apollinaire, Cadícamo.

An event not to be missed!

The concert will be followed by a CD signing and an opportunity to meet the artists.
