- J.S. Bach
- Concerto for Two Violins, BWV 1043
- Violin Concerto No. 1
- Symphony No. 1
- Pinchas Zukerman
- Diana Adamyan
One of Bach’s best-loved works; his Double Concerto opens this evening’s programme.
Bruch’s Violin Concerto No.1 expresses profound emotions both poignant and noble, performed by the estimable Pinchas Zukerman, who also leads the Orchestra tonight as conductor.
Brahms lived his life as an intense perfectionist and spent at least 14 years sketching, writing and rewriting his First Symphony. The result was a grand work of the finest quality; a triumphant masterpiece worthy of ending tonight’s concert, which recognises the courage and endurance of the Armenian people.
