This exciting and varied programme from Merton College Choir includes music from the Golden Age of church music, three Marian Antiphons by Victoria and a performance of the Seven Magnificat Antiphons, commissioned by Merton College from seven different contemporary composers. Skempton, Tavener, Dubra, Jackson, McDowall, Martin and Esenvalds have each written a miniature which, when performed in a sequence, makes for a captivating and striking collection of music.

Part of Choral at Cadogan 2012/13

The Tallis Scholars

English masterpieces by Robert Fayrfax and Thomas Tallis, including Fayrfax's virtuoso Missa Tecum principium.

The Tallis Scholars

The award-winning choir celebrates its own anniversary as well as the unusual genius of Carlo Gesualdo.

The Choir of Westminster Abbey

A delightfully varied Christmas programme, including Britten's magical A Ceremony of Carols, and Renaissance masterpieces alongside contemporary gems and audience carols.

I Fagiolini

A musical banquet of secular (and sometimes racy!) Renaissance dishes (with stagings), including works by Janequin, da Flecha, Lassus and Monteverdi.

Tenebrae

A programme based around the beautiful music of Will Todd and music that inspires his writing, including Bernstein's Chichester Psalms.

Alamire

Boasting some of the finest consort singers in the world, Alamire traces the evolution of Early Tudor polyphony, culminating with masterworks by Tallis and Byrd.

‘The new Merton College Choir has leap-frogged its way almost to the top of the collegiate choral pile.’
