- Symphony No. 5
- Piano Concerto No. 1
- Naufal Mukumi
- Paul Daniel
English conductor Paul Daniel, currently Principal Conductor and Artistic Director with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in Galicia, has performed with leading orchestras throughout the world. Tonight he conducts Mahler’s magnificent Fifth Symphony and Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Trinity Laban Symphony Orchestra and soloist Naufal Mukumi.
From the opening trumpet solo and the funeral march, to the exquisite ten-minute Adagietto of the fourth movement, Mahler’s Symphony No. 5 is grand in scale and depth and the excellent acoustic of Cadogan Hall provides the perfect setting to hear these large orchestral forces.
To complete the programme, rising star Naufal Mukumi performs Rachmaninov’s virtuosic Piano Concerto No. 1 following his winning performance in the Trinity Laban Soloists’ Competition this year.
