The Spanish Symphony Orchestra (Orquesta Clásica Santa Cecilia) is based in Madrid and includes musicians who have performed in some of Europe’s leading orchestras. It has been directed by renowned conductors including Roberto Abbado, Michail Jurowski, Jean-Jacques Kantorow and János Kovács and has performed with soloists including Nicola Benedetti, Renaud Capuçon, Maxim Rysanov and Konstantin Lifschitz.

This evening the orchestra is conducted by its current Music Director and Principal Conductor Grzegorz Nowak, Permanent Associate Conductor of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Australian born guitarist Craig Ogden is one of the most exciting artists of his generation and one of the UK’s most recorded and acclaimed guitarists. He was the youngest instrumentalist to have received a Fellowship Award from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester where he is currently Head of Guitar.
