Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition whisks its audience from musical picture to musical picture, from the grand, to the comical to the terrifying, all the while packing in instantly recognisable melodies.
Also on the bill is Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto, one of the best-loved concertos around. Award-winning soloist Alexander Sitkovetsky shares his interpretation of this Russian classic in what promises to be an awe-inspiring performance.
