Acknowledged as one of the UK's most prestigious orchestras, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) enjoys an international reputation for bringing audiences worldwide first-class performances and the highest possible standards of music-making across a diverse range of musical repertoire. This was the vision of the Orchestra's flamboyant founder Sir Thomas Beecham, whose legacy is maintained today as the Orchestra thrives under the exceptional direction of its Artistic Director and Principal Conductor, Maestro Charles Dutoit.

Cadogan Hall is the Orchestra's London home, its excellent acoustic and intimate atmosphere affording the Orchestra an opportunity to tailor concerts to the Hall's special qualities. The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra takes pride in being able to bring together the finest soloists and conductors in concerts bringing musical pleasure to Cadogan Hall's beautiful surroundings.

Complementing the concert series at Cadogan Hall, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra performs a prestigious series of concerts each year at Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall, and regularly performs classical works of great magnitude alongside musical theatre and film music programmes in the Royal Albert Hall.

The Orchestra is committed to offering an extensive UK regional touring programme and has also toured more than thirty countries in the last five years including to the USA, Azerbaijan and China. It is recognised for its artistic work through a vibrant and innovative community and education programme, RPO resound.

Frequently found in the recording studio, the Orchestra records extensively for film and television, for all the major commercial record companies and also owns its own record label, which has released many albums recorded at Cadogan Hall. As well as recordings, the RPO is proud to stream its entire concert series live from the venue.
