This is a stimulating programme full of energy. It includes an entertaining divergence of different manners, from buoyant classical bearing to two contrasting 20th century styles.
Diana Ambache says about the concert: "The Thompson Concerto is a real original, with her background as a jazz/rock saxophonist. The mixture of styles in this programme is very stimulating, contrasting expressive Williams, with early and mature Mozart."
