A spectacular masterpiece of epic proportions, ‘The Planets Suite’ for large orchestra never fails to stun. The Orpheus Sinfonia is joined by Toby Purser and the 25 year old pianist Marc Corbett-Weaver – who in fact founded the orchestra – for a performance of Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto no. 1 in a spell-binding feast of young, energetic talent. The occasion of Music in Mayfair’s 100th concert is marked by the presence of HRH The Duke of Gloucester. Aled Jones presents the concert and the orchestra’s patron Dame Judi Dench will be among the principal guests. This concert is not to be missed!
