Zurich International Orchestra Series 2018-19
Welcome to Cadogan Hall’s 12th Zurich International Orchestra Series, in association with IMG Artists.
Our series is regarded as the largest and most comprehensive series of international orchestras in the country and this year we’re delighted to welcome ten of the world’s most distinguished orchestras, along with outstanding conductors and soloists.
New orchestras making their series debut this season are from all corners of the world: the Symphony Orchestra of India, gives two concerts in February, Japan Philharmonic Orchestra joins us in April and Canada’s National Arts Centre Orchestra is here in May. We are delighted to welcome for the first time an acclaimed Russian orchestra, from Siberia, for the final concert in the series.
Our soloists are again an exceptional list: pianists include Barry Douglas, Angela Hewitt and Jan Lisiecki, violinists include Jennifer Pike, Marat Bisengaliev and Alexander Sitkovetsky, along with young cello sensation Sheku Kanneh-Mason, who performs with the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra.
