International pianist and conductor Barry Douglas makes a welcome return to the Cadogan Hall with his acclaimed Camerata Ireland, as part of an International Tour including concerts in Ireland, the UK and South America.
Featuring Mozart’s Symphony No.40 and Piano Concerto No.23, the orchestra also performs arrangements by Barry Douglas. Nocturne & Aria by Irish composer John Field (1782-1837) – father of the Nocturne – and Druid Dances from Edward Bunting’s Ancient Music of Ireland (1840) – a collection of early Irish Harp music. The concert begins with the exciting overture from Rossini’s farsa comica, La Scala di Setà.
