Kensington Prep School Summer Concert
Kensington Prep School returns to Cadogan Hall for its annual Summer Concert. This event is the climax of another busy musical year for the school which included a concert tour by 60 girls to Venice including performances at St Mark’s Cathedral.
250 girls aged from six to 11 perform in the concert which features all of the main ensembles including the chamber orchestra, string orchestra and the symphony orchestra as well as the three school choirs. The varied programme includes folksong selections, chamber music and songs from the West End. The orchestra performs music by Rogers and Hammerstein, Stephen Schwartz, Brahms, Purcell and Michael Hurd’s jazz cantata, Swingin’ Samson.
