This gala concert, in the presence of HRH Princess Michael of Kent, Patron of the Schola, is to mark the distinguished contribution of Lee Ward, Director of The London Oratory School Music Department and Schola, before he leaves London for a new career in Brazil.
The Schola is a world-renowned boys’ choir which has performed in churches and concert halls in the USA and Europe, and with many of London’s leading orchestras. It is joined by former members of the choir and former music scholars of the school in a concert which will include the London premiere of Roxanna Panufnik’s Love Abide, works by James MacMillan, and music reflecting the Royal Jubilee and music of Brazil. A celebratory evening of the finest choral and instrumental music.
This concert is supported by the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George in Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
