Cadogan Hall is delighted to welcome back the CNSO, one of the most popular orchestras in Europe, for two concerts featuring two of Schubert’s most lyrical symphonies, Beethoven’s iconic Fourth and Fifth Piano Concertos, and Dvořák’s much-loved Seventh and Ninth Symphonies.
Barry Douglas has established a major international career since winning the Gold Medal at the 1986 Tchaikovsky International Piano Competition in Moscow.
We regret to announce that the originally advertised conductor Petr Altrichter has had to withdraw from this concert due to ill health. We are delighted that Jan Chalupecký, a regular conductor of the CNSO and very highly regarded in the Czech Republic for his work with the orchestra, has agreed to take his place this evening.
The first CNSO concert is on Monday 16 April, with soloist Pavel Kolesnikov.
